CAN(Campus Area Network) - is a computer network, interconnecting a few local area network, or (LANS) within a university campus or corporate campus.

MAN(Matropolitan Area Network) - is a large computer network that usually spans a city or a large campus.

WAN(Wide Area Network) - spans a large geographic area such as a state, province, or country.
